Kate Edwards

Kate Edwards, age 71, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her residence.   Kate was born Tuesday, June 27, 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Edgar Geer Kenny and Margaret Jean Sauter. She worked for Valley Fine Foods for thirteen years before retirement. Kate lived an eventful and colorful life which included attending Woodstock in 1969, being a volunteer for the Peace Corps, having a lifetime membership to the Toastmasters Club International and hiking the Grand Canyon. She had a passion for her pets and was a proud supporter of the MSPCA. Kate lived a full life of adventure.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Kenny.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of twenty years, Ralph “Butch” Edwards, Jr.; three brothers, James Kenny of Forest City, Bill Kenny of Amherst, New Hampshire, Paul Kenny of Sandwich, Massachusetts and a sister, Laura MacDonald of Hanson, Massachusetts.

A celebration of Kate’s life will be conducted from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Harrelson Funeral Home.
