Kathleen “Katja” Miller, age 62, of Nehemiah Drive, Forest City, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
Kathleen was born November 14, 1957 in Somerville, New Jersey to the late Raymond Solstad and Evaline Sharp Solstad. She earned an Associates Degree from Isothermal Community College where she graduated with honors. Kathleen also attended the Art Instruction School of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was an accomplished artist and loved sharing her artwork with others. She had an outgoing personality along with a generous heart. Kathleen was a faithful member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness where she taught Sunday School and was part of the Millers Singing group. She was dedicated to her family, her church and to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mandy Lee Miller.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of forty-four years, Dale Miller; three daughters, Rachel Greene (Paul) of Mooresboro, Catherine Rash of Spindale and Rebekah Simmons of Forest City; son, Alan Miller (Kristy) of Forest City; sister, Penny Francis (Alexis Reid) of Sanford, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness with Reverend Chad Sisk, and Reverend Brian Bowlin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
