Kenneth "Fat Boy" Waters, age 71, of East Main Street, Forest City, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born August 12, 1945 in Polk County, NC, he was a son of the late Nola Ann Waters.
Kenneth was a self-employed "handy man" in the construction industry most of his life and loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Clarence McCraw; two infant daughters, Tiffany Waters and Sandy Waters; step-son, Adam Hill; sister, Mildred Waters and a brother, Clarence McCraw.
Those left to cherish his memory include four daughters, Heather Gonzalez and Katherine Waters both of Rutherfordton, Charity Garcia and husband, Graciel, of Forest City and Lauren Swindler and husband, Jermaine of Spartanburg; three brothers, Carroll McCraw of Columbus, NC, Ray McCraw of Landrum, SC and Bobby McCraw also of Columbus; two sisters, Joyce McCraw and Linda McCraw both of Columbus and two nieces, Jackie Waters and Melinda Waters both of Columbus. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Aaleiyah Gonzalez, Alysa Gonzalez, Audriana Ramos, Alexis Gonzalez, Araceli Munoz, Victoria Ignacio, Yazmine Calzada, Giovanni Munoz, Anthony Munoz, Zechariah Kennedy, Adam Camacho, Jerimiah Dawkins and Nahla Swindler.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jack Crain officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
