Kortney Humphries

Kortney Humphries, age 24, of Forest City, passed away, Sunday, November 19, 2023 at her residence.

Kortney was born Wednesday, April 28, 1999 in Rutherford County to April Humphries who resides in Forest City. She was a graduate of the Rutherford Opportunity Center (The Rock), class of 2018. Kortney worked for Blankenship Creations. She was known for her creativity and was a gifted artist. Kortney was a member of Floyd’s Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Shane Holland and grandfathers, Horace Humphries and David Holland.

Those left to treasure her memory include her mother, April Humphries; grandmothers, Nancy Humphries and Earleen Splawn; sister, Breanna Holland and brother, Luke Holland all of Forest City; her aunts, Deana Harrill (Kevin) and Shellie Easler; uncle, Kelly McSwain and a number of cousins and extended family members.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 25^th at Floyd’s Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Carnell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
