Laura Alley

Laura Alley, age 81, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Laura was born Friday, August 30, 1940 in Rutherford County to the late Elmore Bradley and Laurie Eugenia Clontz Bradley.  She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1960 and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Laura was a dedicated homemaker who loved taking care of her family and spending time with her grandbabies. She enjoyed going on camping trips with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby Wall, Madeline Leach, Frances Smith, Florence Suttle and a brother, Willard Bradley.

Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of fifty-eight years, Ray D. Alley; daughters, Kim Lowery (Paul) of Ellenboro and Cindy McCombs (Ron) of Caroleen; two sisters, Ruth Davis of Bostic and Linda Smith of Forest City; brother, Claude Bradley (Becky) of Ellenboro. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Kasey Alley, Paige Smith, Laura Allman (Justin), Benjamin McCombs, Gracie McCombs and three great-grandchildren, Storm Smith, Emerie Allman and Shai McCombs.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Morningstar Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ted Blankenship officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
