Lavana Wilson

Lavana Stafford Wilson, age 64, of Old Wagy Road, Forest City, NC, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Hospice House.
Lavana was born on March 11, 1947 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Youth Stafford and Jennie Ford McGee. She worked at Fieldcrest Mill for many years and was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Lavana loved making beautiful flower arrangements and she also enjoyed fishing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie McGee.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Perry Wayne Wilson; two daughters, Linda Greene and husband, Bruce of Ellenboro and Betty Murray and husband, Chad of Rutherfordton; one aunt, Ethel Ford Godfrey of Forest City; two grandsons, Tyler John-Perry Greene of Ellenboro, Bryson Christopher Murray of Rutherfordton and one granddaughter, Caroline Elizabeth Murray of Kings Mountain. She is also survived by her faithful companion pet, Dolly.

Lavana requested that those who wish to send flowers should send them to a living loved one in memory of Lavana in lieu of sending it to the funeral home.
