Lawrence David Bradley, Sr., age 83, of Mooresboro, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at his residence.
Lawrence was born Saturday, March 27, 1937 in Rutherford County to the late James Hollis Bradley and Helen Gann Bradley. Lawrence served honorably in the US Coast Guard. He worked for Pike Electric for thirty-six years before retirement and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ted, Jack and Edwin Bradley; four sisters, Willie Harrill, Virle Sinclair, Nina Fowler, Mildred James and two grandsons, L.Cpl. Bryson Cole Horne and Lawrence David Bradley III.
Those left to cherish his memory include six children, Cindy Dobbins of Lancaster, SC, Leroy Dobbins of Forest City, Jimmy Dobbins (Pam) of Lancaster, David Bradley, Jr (Tammy) of Gaffney, Kandy Crosby (Ron) of Greer, SC and Kristie Bradley (Robbie Bostic) of Forest City. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
