Lee Green

Lee Roy Green, age 89, of Ellenboro, NC, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Atrium Healthcare-Cleveland.
Born October 29, 1929 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late John Green and Lillie Bell Davis Wilson. Lee Roy worked for Stonecutter Mill for many years and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mallie Marie Wilson Green and sister, Gertrude Evans.
Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Debbie Hardin (Richard) of Ellenboro; three sons, Tommy Green (Sheila) of Shiloh, Randy Green (Shirley) of Rutherfordton and Mark Dwayne Green of Forsyth County and a sister, Mary Sue Dotson of Ellenboro. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery at a time to be announced.
