Leo Carter

Leo Carter, age 92, of Forest City, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born July 16, 1923 in Bacon County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Ottis and Viola Dean Carter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Virtie Lee Crumpton, Ocie Carter, Cassie Carter; brothers, Virgil Carter, Felton Carter; and great grandson, Tyler Eddy.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Lorene Carter; son, Donnie Carter and wife Mary; daughter, Nancy Hawkins and husband John; three grandchildren, David Lee Eddy, Michael Carter and Brandi Eddy. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, Morgan Klein, Farrin Eddy, Haley Eddy, McKayla Eddy; and two great-great grandchildren, Emerie Reign Walker and James Landon Walker.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eric Yelton officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Harrelson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 following a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
