Leslie Armstrong

Leslie Dobbins Armstrong, age 63, of 130 Amies Avenue, Ellenboro, NC died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Hospice House in Forest City, NC. She was born in Rutherford County to the late Lee and Willie Daily Dobbins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Johnny Armstrong; three sisters, Lillian Hawkins, Betty Eggers, and Carolyn Humphries, and a granddaughter, Jordan Armstrong. She worked as a secretary and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta. Leslie liked to read and crochet. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Armstrong of Ellenboro, NC and Kelly Armstrong of Ellenboro, NC; one son, Chris Armstrong and wife Tammy of Landrum, SC; one stepdaughter, Pam Greene and husband Ray of Forest City, NC; one sister, Valeria Dailey of Ellenboro, NC; four grandchildren, Taylor Armstrong, Danie'l Armstrong, Christian Armstrong, and Jennifer Armstrong; and one step grandchild, Ryan Greene.
