Lisa Buchanan Pruett

Lisa Buchanan Pruett, age 51, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Lisa was born October 29, 1969 in McDowell County to Pat and Sherry Buchanan who reside in Marion. She was a graduate of McDowell High School, class of 1987. Lisa was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in healthcare for many years. She most recently was a staff scheduler for White Oak Manor in Tryon. Lisa was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed visiting the beach and the mountains. She loved taking trips to Disney World and was an avid Mickey Mouse fan.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Buchanan.

In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jerry Keith Pruett; three sons, Justin James (Katie) of Morganton, Joshua James (Michelle) and Jordan James (Alysson) all of Marion. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Luna, Poppy and Greyson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating.
