Margaret Griffin

March 22, 1925 — July 1, 2015

Margaret Griffin, age 90, of Bostic, died July1, 2015 at the Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home.
Born March 22, 1925 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar M. Pearson and Mary Ledbetter Pearson. She worked for Burlington Mills for many years and was a member of the Cliffside Missionary Methodist Church. Margaret enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She also enjoyed listening to gospel singing and preaching.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Blackwell; four brothers, Norris, Glenn, Bill and Ray Pearson; one sister, Betty Hill.
Survivors include three daughters, Sheila Greene and husband, Bo of Charlotte, Diana Ealey of Concord and Linda Harris and husband, Irby of Forest City; one son Jerry Pearson and wife, Linda of Landrum; one sister, Tina Fowler of Ellenboro. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at twelve o'clock noon on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Wayne Toney officiating. Interment will follow in High Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
