Margaret Lovelace Goode

Margaret Lovelace Goode, age 97, of Cliffside, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, October 14, 2024 at Fair Haven Home in Forest City.

Margaret was born Thursday, July 14, 1927 in Rutherford County to the late Jack Lovelace and Pearl Holland Lovelace. She worked for Cone Mills and Burlington Industries for over thirty years. She enjoyed camping at Cherokee, listening to country music, flower gardening and doing craftwork. She was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church. Her life’s joy was her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Billy Goode; daughter, Brenda Gosnell; siblings, Mozelle Melton, J.L. Lovelace, Polly Daves and Billy Lovelace.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Larry Goode (Mary) of Forest City; sisters, Linda Kellough (Wayne) of Salisbury, NC and Judy Sisk of Rutherfordton; grandchildren, Jason Goode (Jennifer), Cindy Foster (Glenn), Jessica Martinez (Gerardo), Wesley McCraw (Lisa), Mark McCraw (Angie), Chad Gosnell (Shelly); great-grandchildren, Jaxon Goode, Wyatt Goode, Enzo Martinez, Ellie Foster; special family friend, Chuck Hefner; a host of nieces and nephews and her special grand dog, Jake.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 19th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ted Blankenship officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cliffside Cemetery.
