Margie Marlow

Margie Flynn Marlow, age 77, of Sandy Mush, passed away Monday, May 28, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. Margie was born on December 15, 1929 in McDowell County to the late Alonzo Flynn and Maggie Elizabeth Novlitt Flynn. She grew up in Rutherford County. She worked in the textile industry as a spinner for various cotton mill, spending over 20 years with Springs Cotton Mill. After retirement she worked as a cook for the Liberty Baptist Church Day Care. She was preceded in death by a son Grady Marlow and by three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Marlow of Las Vegas, NV; two sons, Ricky Marlow of Ruth, NC, and Cecil Marlow and wife Diane of Fort Mills, SC; one brother, Rev. Paul Flynn of Cleveland, GA; five sisters, Opal Pittman of Fort Mills, SC, Nettie Blackwell of Fort Mills, SC, Aliene Wilkerson of Marion, NC, Irene Thomas of Gilkey, NC, and Wanda Greene of Cliffside, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
