Marie Smith

Marie Carder Smith, age 55, of Mooresboro, NC, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 in Lincolnton, NC.
Marie was born May 16, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Robert Earl Carder and Merry Ann Ellen Earls Carder. She worked as a truck driver for many years and was a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church. She enjoyed making ceramic dolls, flower and vegetable gardening and reading. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and loved her family dearly.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Wayne Blanton and wife, Tracy of Lincolnton and Ethan James Johnson of Eagle Lake, Florida; three daughters, Karen Denise Jaynes and husband, Steven Horner of Statesville, Stephanie Marie Johnson and Treva Ellen Johnson both of Eagle Lake; one sister, Zelda Green of Sandy Mush; one niece, Donna Reynolds and two great nieces, Bryanna Melaugh and Arrabella Blanton.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Rhonda Whitacre, Milton Lee Edwards Jr., Robert Paul Jaynes, Jessie Eugene Jaynes, Ashley Marie Blanton, Michelle Brook Blanton and Stacy Taylor Rae Blanton.
