Marjorie Bostic

Marjorie Beason Bostic, age 93, of Cliffside, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Oakland Living Center.
Born September 5, 1924 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Grady Lee Beason and Hattie Ramsey Beason. She was a graduate of Mooresboro High School and worked for Cone Mills for forty years before retirement. Marjorie was a faithful, dedicated and longtime member of Cliffside Baptist Church. She found her life's joy in spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Jack Daniel Bostic; three brothers, Ray, Bob and Jack Beason; three sisters, Beth Greene, Louise Greene, Lee Ethel Scruggs and one infant granddaughter, Kelly Janette Bostic.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Daniel S. Bostic and wife, Dianne of The Villages, Florida and Johnny R. Bostic and wife, Sylvia of Polkville; one daughter, Joyce B. Penley of Largo, Florida. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Mike Elgin officiating. Interment will follow in Cliffside Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial donations are respectfully requested to Cliffside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 336, Cliffside, NC 28024.
