Martha "Mott" Hutchins

Martha “Mott” Hutchins, age 75, of Caroleen, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2024 at Hilltop Health and Rehabilitation in Rutherfordton.Martha was born Sunday, May 8, 1949 in Rutherford County to the late Rass Everett Conner and Mildred Lee Taylor Conner. She worked at Burlington Industries and later as a CNA for various nursing homes. She loved taking in misfit animals and making them her fur babies. Martha attended Caroleen Congregational Holiness Church.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Douglas Conner and Billy Reid Conner.

Those left to treasure her memory include her sons, Randy Lee Waters (Tracy Dawn) of Rutherfordton and Marshall Craig Rippy of Forest City; her beloved sister, Ruth Conner; grandchildren, Sean Waters, Robert Rippy, Thor Rippy, Sorsha Rippy, Skyla Rippy, Makayla Barbee and several nieces and nephews.

An inurnment will take place at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery on a date to be announced.
