Martha Triplett

Martha Triplett, age 86, of Spindale, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at her residence.

Martha was born Tuesday, December 15, 1936 in Gill, West Virginia to the late Alderson Miller and Stella Mills Miller. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved her family dearly. Martha enjoyed cooking for her family and sewing. She was a member of the Community Worship Center in Spindale.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Norman Triplett; an infant daughter, Drema Joyce Triplett; daughter-in-law, Ronda Triplett; two great-grandchildren, Drema Star McComas, Sadie Nova McComas; five brothers and five sisters.

    Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Roger Triplett (Euna) of Spindale, Ronald Triplett (Marquita) of Hamlin, WV, John Triplett of West Hamlin, WV, Glenn Triplett (Margaret) of West Hamlin, WV, Norman Triplett II (Darlene) of Spindale; daughters, Loretta McComas of Spindale and Juanita Fowler (Martin) of Green Creek, NC. She is also survived by two sisters, Bessie Ball Farley of Branchland, WV and Inez Wheeler (Ronnie) of Georgia; brother, Isom Miller (Phyllis) of Huntington, WV; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren.

     The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 28^th at the Community Worship Center, 256 Church Street, Spindale, NC 28160. Interment will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 1^st at the Western North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC.
