Martha Ann Moore

Martha Ann Moore, age 89, of Ellenboro, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 at her residence.

Martha was born Monday, January 25, 1932 in McDowell County to the late Frank and Pleamie Upton. She was a graduate of Tri-High School and owned and operated Moore’s Wrecker Service with her late husband, Frank Moore. She was a member of Chase Baptist Church and an animal lover. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and enjoying nature. She also enjoyed reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; two sons, Roger and Franklin Moore and eight siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Patsy Ledbetter of Cliffside; four grandchildren, Bronson Moore (Gina) of Ellenboro; Bryan Moore of Rutherfordton, Bruce Moore of Rutherfordton and Tracy Miller of Caroleen; ten great-grandchildren, Courtney Moore, Kirstie Miller, Kelsey Moore, Ryan Moore, Ethan Greene, Shawntae Wheeler, Josh Moore, Dillon Moore, Lucas Moore and Hope Moore. She is also survived by a niece, Linda Connely of China Grove, NC; a special friend, Diane Lovelace and ten great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Scott Butler and Reverend Jerry Hames officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
