Mary Carver

Mary Ann Hamrick Carver, age 94, of Kelly Road, Caroleen, NC, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Hospice House.
Mary was born on August 1, 1917 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Ostie Hamrick and Dovie Kennedy Hamrick. She was a faithful lifetime member of Caroleen Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed hand sewing and needle point. She was a kind and gentle lady who loved her family dearly and had a heart to help others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Gold Carver and son, William Carver.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Carver and wife, June of Forest City, Max Carver and wife, April of Norfolk, VA, Joseph Floyd Carver of Morganton and Charles Carver and wife, Barbara of Forest City; two daughters, Margaret Carver Locke of Marion and Hannah Carver Earls of Caroleen; one step-brother, Billy Hamrick of Whitney, SC; two step-sisters, Lorene Street of Chesnee and Frances Ward of Forest City. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
