Mary Davis

Mary Ellen Davis, age 80, of Forest City passed away Friday, March 4, 2022.

Mary Ellen was born Saturday, September 6, 1941 in Rutherford County to the late Frank Weldon Moore and Margaret Walker Moore.  She loved gardening, working with flowers, especially her irises.  Mary Ellen enjoyed sitting and watching birds and butterflies at play.  She was a longtime member of Providence United Methodist Church and DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).  Mary Ellen loved working with children, playing the piano in church, she also loved going out to eat with her special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Davis, and a brother Larry Frank Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennifer Davis and many close friends and family.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Providence United Methodist Church with Reverend Phillip Duncan and Reverend Bill Taylor officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
