Mary Fisher Lovelace

Mary Fisher Lovelace, age 84, of Bostic, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City.

Mary was born Wednesday, October 11, 1939 in Rutherford County to the late Glenn Fisher and Thelma Walker Fisher. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. Mary loved being a “Maw Maw” to all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed working on crafts and was of the Baptist faith. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Bobby Lovelace; daughter, Norma Laws; sisters, Doris Ponder, Louise Toney and Lillian Smith along with two great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Scott Lovelace of Ellenboro, Johnny Hoppes of Rutherfordton, Renee Greene of Bostic, Louise Lewis (Robert) of Bostic and Betty Hollifield (Brian) of Forest City; brothers, Hugh Fisher (Connie) of Bostic and Arnold Fisher (Leslie) of Newport News, Virginia; sisters, Christine Davis of Marion, NC, Joyce Wilson of Norfolk, VA, Eunice Bradley of Bostic, Susan Herman of Mooresboro; sixteen grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.

 A gathering of family and friends will be conducted from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Harrelson Funeral Home.
