Mary Kennedy

Mary Ollie Kennedy, age 76, of Forest City, died Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Autumn Care. A native of Rutherford County she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Myrtis Bowen Simpson. She was an active member of Alexander Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. Mary worked as a secretary for G.B. Harrill Insurance and for Insurance Marketing Service. She loved cooking and baking for others.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John A. Kennedy.
Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl Kennedy-Jones and her husband Michael of Bostic; one grandson Jonathan McClay also of Bostic; two sisters, Francis Huntley of Forest City and Margaret Ballestracci of Americus, GA; four nieces and three nephews.
