Mary June Chapman

Mary June Chapman, age 79, of Forest City, passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 at her residence.

Mary was born November 8, 1940 in Union County, SC to the late Johnny Moore and Bertie Wilson Moore. She worked for the Family Dollar Store as a clerk for several years and retired from Leggett and Platt Manufacturing. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and enjoyed growing flowers, shopping and especially spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley and F.P. Moore and a sister, Hazel Burgess.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of forty-two years, Jack Chapman; son, Michael Shehan of Forest City; daughter, Donna Waters of Spindale; two brothers, Steve Moore (Barbara) of Forest City and Daryl Moore (Kitty) of Gilkey.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Loretta McComas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Caroleen-Avondale-Henrietta Cemetery.
