Maudleen Deyton

Maudleen M. Deyton, age 85, of Caroleen , NC died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Fairhaven Home.

Maudleen was born on June 4, 1925 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Lonnie Melton and Margaret Denton Melton. She worked as a seamstress for Doncaster Tanner Industries for over 35 years before her retirement. She was a member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Eugene Deyton; two sisters, Margaret Ann Sharp and Mary Ellen Padgett; one daughter-in-law, Diane Radford Deyton and by three grandchildren, Paul Deyton, Maria Deyton and Brian Deyton.

Survivors include four sons, Robert Deyton and wife, Priscilla, Bill Deyton and wife, Sharon, both of Pensacola, FL, Max Deyton and wife, Jill, of Greer, SC, Keith Deyton and wife, Crystal, of Mooresboro; two daughters, Pat Hammett and husband, Larry, of Mooresboro and Dianne Crowe and husband, Bobby, of Bostic. She is also survived by one sister; Mamie Sue Laughlin and husband, John, of Augusta , GA ; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
