Melissa Wood

Melissa Dawn Wood, age 45, of Ellenboro, NC, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Colonial Manor.
Melissa was born September 8, 1966 in Albany, Georgia to the late Joseph Ballesteros, Sr. and Brenda Vickers Buckner. She worked as a CNA for many years and was a member of Harris First Baptist Church. She enjoyed craftwork, writing and visiting with others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, James Lee Wood and one sister, Carla Thompson.
Survivors include one son, Ronnie Lee Wood of Forest City; two daughters, Tera Wease of Henrietta and Carla Bridges of Forest City; one brother Joseph Ballesteros and wife, Lisa of Henrietta; three sisters, Rosina Hall, Diana Jennings both of California and Tracy Railsback and husband, Jeff of Nebraska. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Austin, Samuel and Hayden Wease, Hunter Phipps and Alexia Bridges.
