Memir Waters

Memir Lane Waters, age 88, of Forest City, NC passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the Autumn Care of Forest City. She was born November 10, 1919 in Rutherford County to the late Charles Henry Lane and Fushia Elizabeth Metcalf Lane. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Waters and three brothers, Rev. J. C. Lane, Walter Lane, and James Lane. Memir was a member of the Avondale United Methodist Church. She retired after 30 years from the Rutherford County Public School as a cafeteria worker and was known as a wonderful cook.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Honeycutt and her husband Bob of Forest City, NC; one granddaughter, Sharon Pounders and her husband Greg of Lakeland, FL; and one brother, Elbert Lane of Henrietta, NC.
