Michael Dobbins

Michael Dobbins, age 74, of Big Springs Avenue, Forest City, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Michael was born May 21, 1945 in Rutherford County to the late Hoyle Dobbins and Ollie Davis Dobbins and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Bostic. He worked as a plumber for many years and enjoyed fishing and having a good cup of coffee.  Michael loved the Lord, his family, all his friends and his church family very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, J.D., Earl, Harold and Wilbur Dobbins; four sisters, Hazel Bailey, Jeanette Gibson, Modine Dobbins and Syble Dobbins.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sisters, Aileen Cooper and Susan Cooper both of Forest City; several nieces and nephews which includes a special nephew, Ronald Lovelace of Ellenboro.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Clay Earle and Reverend Wayne Toney officiating. Interment will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
