Michael James McComb, age 78, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 in Bessemer City, NC at the home of his daughter. He was born March 13, 1933 in Cherokee County, SC to the late Robert Lee Phillips and Maude Allison Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Featherstone McComb. Michael was a retired textile supervisor.

He is survived by one daughter, Jackie Maney of Bessemer City, NC; three sons, Robert Phillips and Joe Phillips both of Kings Mountain, NC and Richard Phillips of Mt. Holly, NC; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
