Mickey Jean Harris, age 73, of Ellenboro, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Mickey was born May 27, 1946 in Rutherford County to the late Burley Hutchins and Myrtle Elizabeth Conner Hutchins. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1965 and received her LPN certification in 1979. She worked for Fairhaven Home in Bostic and White Oak Manor in Shelby for several years. Her most rewarding time as a nurse was spent as an “in home” nurse for the Pediatric Services of America. She enjoyed reading romance novels and playing Mahjong.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Merle Tallent, Mildred McDaniel and a brother, Fred Hutchins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of forty-eight years, Danny Harris; son, Aaron Harris of Ellenboro; daughter, Tyler Harris of Forest City; five sisters, Hazel Greene, Shirley Bright, Lucille Miller (Wayne), Ruth Byers and Geneva Robinson; sister-in-law, Joan B. Hutchins of Bostic; three grandsons, Vladis Harris, Dylan Skinner, Kennedy Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private service for the family will be conducted.
