Mike Hanson

Mike Hanson, age 55, of Ellenboro was born May 12, 1965 in Lawton, Oklahoma and passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Wise Hanson, brothers Walter Joseph Hanson and Jeffrey Lynn Hanson.

Mike is survived by his cherished wife, Angela Owens Hanson; four daughters, Brandy Michele Hanson (Ryan Morgan) of Hendersonville, Tiffany Vibbert (Brian) of Forest City, Courtney Hanson of Ellenboro and Megan Dorsey (Ron) of Shelby; son, Tyler Bowen of Shelby; five granddaughters, Madison Morrow,  Alexus Wilkins, Isabella Holland, Harper Kelly and Oaklynn Vibbert; one grandson Lincoln Dorsey; sister, Sandra Ruppe of Ellenboro NC; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Katherine Owens of Shelby. He is also survived by his lifelong hunting and fishing buddy and best friend Tommy Turner.

Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and loved his family and Jesus. He loved to hunt, fish and travel.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Cool Springs Cemetery with the Reverend Bill Jones officiating.
