Mike Kiser

Mike Kiser, age 65, of Jerry Road, Forest City, NC, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born March 23, 1949 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Paul Reid Kiser and Mamie Pearl Hutchins Kiser. Mike was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1968 and also a graduate of Fruitland Bible College. He worked for E.S Walker Construction and McGinnis Roofing for many years and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Mike life's passion was coaching several area youth sports teams which included Little and Senior League baseball, basketball, football and softball. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and walking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a sister-in-law, Deborah Kiser.
Survivors include four sisters, Sheila Huckabee and husband, Pletz Johnston, Christine Kiser, Angelia Hernandez and husband, Raul and Kay Miller and husband, Desmond all of Forest City and a brother, Clarence Kiser also of Forest City. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
