Mollie Burgess

Mrs. Mollie Evygine Brigman Burgess, age 85, of 215 Henrietta Street, Caroleen, NC passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007. She was born December 30, 1921 to the late Robert Lee Brigman and Mollie Duncan Brigman in Buncombe County, NC. Mollie was married to Sam Stevenson Burgess for 47 years before his death in 2004. In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by a grandson Sammy Lee Cook and a great grandson Samuel Lee Bradley. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Mrs. Burgess is survived by a son Dean Burgess and wife Julie of Ellenboro, three daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Wayne Dixon of Cliffside, NC, Mary and Ross Van Deventer of Forest City, NC, and Doris & Ray McCoy of Morganton, NC; one sister Edith Mode of Forest City, NC; 15 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
