Monica Faye Gossett, age 46, of Inman, SC, passed away, Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at her residence.
Monica was born Friday, August 20, 1976 in Rutherford County the late Geneva Greene Nelon. She was graduate of Polk County High School, class of 1994 and held an earned Associates degree from Isothermal Community College. She worked as the office manager for Brannon Builders and Real Estate of Boiling Springs, SC for twenty-five years. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time around the pool and camping. Monica was a faithful member of the The Church at Lake Cooley.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother-in-law, Christine Thompson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of twenty-three years, Jeremy Gossett; daughters, Kendall Gossett of the home and Brittany Scott (Zack) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; her best friend, Anna Vest of Gowensville, SC; in-laws, Jerry and Ann Gossett of Rutherfordton, sister-in-law, Tina Williams (Michael) of Rutherfordton; grandfather-in-law, Rev. Billy Thompson of Rutherfordton; nieces, Makayla Spivey (Ethan), Baylior Spivey and nephew, Blake Williams (Sara) and her cousins, Tony Bradley, Tommy Bradley, Chad Bailey, Shannon Bailey and their families. The family wishes to give a special thanks to a special friend, Tina Walker, for her care and compassion for Monica.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, October 14th at the Church at Lake Cooley. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. A private burial will take place at the Thompson Family Cemetery.
