Mozelle Honeycutt

March 22, 1923 — February 27, 2017

Mozelle Melton Honeycutt, age 93, of Sunset Beach, NC and formally of Rutherford County joined her Heavenly Father on February 27, 2017 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Bolivia, NC.
Born on March 22, 1923 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Wilbur Melton and Vinnie Cobb Melton. Mozelle was a lifetime member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church and a longtime resident of Rutherford County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Honeycutt in 1995.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Rebecca Kay Mealey of Clarkston, Georgia and Linda Williams and husband, Bob of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. She is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Carnell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. A private burial will be held after the service. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are respectively requested to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043 or to Floyd's Creek Baptist Church, 2004 Chase High Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
