Nancy Bailey Daniel, age 82, of Spartanburg, and formerly of Forest City, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Nancy was born on Saturday, September 13, 1941, in Rutherford County, to the late H.V. “Hill” DeBrule, and Martha Godfrey DeBrule. She was a member of Aleverson Grove Baptist Church. Nancy graduated from Tri-High School in 1959 and worked at the Burlington Mill-Industries and later in the Spartanburg Library System.
She is survived by three sons, Philip Bailey (Melinda), of Forest City, Darryl Bailey (Debbie), of Tryon, and Joshua Johnson, of Chesnee, SC; two grandchildren, Erika Huggins (Tyler), and Lacy Bailey; and four great-grandchildren, Avett Huggins, Delilah Bailey, Jeremiah Anderson, and Eljah Anderson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bobby Gene Bailey, of twenty-seven years, and Reverend Curtis Daniel, of thirty-one years; three brothers, Dever DeBrule, Bob DeBrule, Howard DeBrule; and two sisters, Betty Neal, and Virginia Harris.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024, in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Dale Welch officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
