Nancy Browning

Nancy "Shirley" Browning, age 76, of Gastonia, NC, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Forest City Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born September 12, 1938 in Franklin County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Furman Davis and Clara Mae Fisher Davis. She was a graduate of Liverpool High School and attended Kings College. Nancy worked for Pharr Yarns for thirty-three years before her retirement and also worked for Belks for several years. She was a member of the South Marietta Baptist Church of Gastonia. Her life was dedicated to raising and taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Jack Browning; son, Frank Browning and two brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Pam Rhodes and husband, Jimmy, Andrea Browning and companion, Bobby and Marlene Browning all of Forest City; one son, Jerry Browning and wife, Pam of Gastonia; ten grandchildren, Renee Wyatt (Scott), Doug Payne (Barbie), Jason Rhode, Amanda Teseniar, Leslie Bellew (Josh), Kasey Browning (Courtney), Emily Garcia (Pedro), Michael Rainey, Andrew Browning, Christopher Smith (Rachel); twelve great-grandchildren, Timothy Teseniar, Chris Johnson, Madison Johnson, Caleb Wyatt, Paige Hamrick, Eric Payne, Savannah Wyatt, Logan Garcia, Mason Garcia, C.J. Petty, Amani Petty and Neal Smith. She is also survived by two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
