Nancy "Joan" Moore, age 74, of Bridges Drive, Forest City, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Born February 25, 1943 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Jack Mask and Alma Ford Mask. A graduate of Cool Springs High School, she worked for AFA Plastics and Campbell's Cleaning Services for several years before her retirement. Joan enjoyed being a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Grace Chapel in Forest City and also enjoyed taking trips to the mountains and going to the lake, as well as, flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Mask and a sister, Katie Moore.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of fifty-two years, Jimmy Moore; one daughter, Tonya Bennett (Brian) of Union Mills; three sons, David Moore (Laurie) of Forest City, Greg "Bo" Moore (Tish) of Cowpens, SC and Tracy Moore (Lorrie) of Ellenboro; two sisters, Brenda Harris (Jim) of Shelby and Carolyn Lowery (Mark) of Forest City and two brothers, Bill Mask (Peggy) of Cliffside and Jimmy Mask of Shelby. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Nicole Moore, Michael Moore, Jordan Moore, Bailey Allison, Bryson Moore, Autumn Moore, Kayla Fox, Hunter Bennett and two great-grandchildren, Alexis Moore and Raiden Jenkins.
The funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Colby Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
