Nancy Moore

Nancy Stringer Moore, age 71, of Henrietta, passed away Saturday, August 04, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Moore was born on August 25, 1935 in Rutherford County to the late Tom Hardy Stringer and Alvirtie Willis Stringer Greene. She has been a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. She had worked at Cone Mills as a spinner and later had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Crawley Memorial Hospital and Autumn Care. She was a long-time member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she had served as Church Secretary.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Ronald G. "Pud" Moore of the home; two sons, Kevin "Butch" Johnson of Henrietta, NC; and Roger Johnson of Hickory, NC; a step-son, Eddie Moore of Rutherfordton; three daughters, Brenda Worley of Henrietta, Barbara Gaida, of Lawndale, NC, and Kay Meeler of Georgia; two step-daughters, Brenda Kay Greene of Mooresboro, NC, and Sheila Patterson of Union Mills, NC; three sisters, Freeda Smith of Rutherfordton, Vera Toney of Bostic, and Anita Walker of Ettawa, NC. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
