Nancy Kimbrell Bishop Waters

Nancy Kimbrell Bishop Waters, age 75, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

Nancy was born March 21, 1945 in Rutherford County to the late Archie Kimbrell and Lillian Phillips Kimbrell. She worked in textiles for several years and for Carolina Home Care for nineteen years. Nancy enjoyed putting together puzzles, reading, gardening and doing word puzzles. She was of the Christian faith and had a caring heart for others.  Nancy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sherry Bishop and a brother, Kenneth “Babe” Kimbrell.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Johnny Bishop and daughter, Carol “Sissy” Bishop Walker (Jeff) all of Forest City; grandson, Shane Walker (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Easton and Sadie Walker; four brothers, Joe Kimbrell (Joan), James Kimbrell, Earl Kimbrell and Tommy Kimbrell (Cindy).  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews whom she loved dearly and a special patient who she cared for the last eighteen years and was just like family to her, Justin Cole and his family.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
