Nannie Greene

Nannie Elizabeth Greene, age 96, of Rutherfordton, died peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2013, at Hospice House of Rutherford County.
A native of Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late W.C. and Nora Scoggins, widow of Clyde A. Greene and of the Baptist faith.
She is also preceded in death by twin daughters, Betty Ngar and Barbara Reid; one son, Tony Greene; three grandchildren; and eight brothers and sisters.
Nannie is survived by one son, Ray Greene and wife, Bobbie of Cliffside; one son-in-law, Thomas Ngar of Monroe, Louisiana; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 26, at 3 p.m. at Southern Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will follow.
