Nellie Walker

Nellie Keeter Walker, age 90, of Forest City, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 at Fair Haven Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Walker was a native of Rutherford County born on June 7, 1917 to the late Cebron Lee Keeter and Alice Margaret Allen Keeter. She was retired from Cone Mills, Avondale with over 40 years of service. She was a long-time member of Providence United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Kestler Walker in 1994 after 56 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Blanche and Ruby Keeter; and three brothers Luther L. (Jack) Keeter, Thomas Lee (Shorty) Keeter and Cebron Lee Keeter, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Alice Margaret Bradley and husband Bob; two granddaughters, Amy Stafford and husband Keith of Boiling Springs, SC and Leisa Woodsby and husband Danny of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Brandon Stafford, Ashley Davies, and Brittany Woodsby.
