Nita Mode Fowler, age 59, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Carolina Health Care System-Cleveland.
Born January 4, 1958 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Gene Mode Sr. and Clara Laws Mode Hames. She worked as the office manager for H & M Industries for many years and was a member of Grace Chapel Four Square Church in Forest City. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed vacationing in Pigeon Forge.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, William Hudson and wife, Amy of Ellenboro and Elvis Hudson and wife, Brandi of Forest City; one brother, Gene Mode Jr. and wife, Sue, of Forest City; three granddaughters, May Opolentisima, Angielen Opolentisima and Chelsea Hudson. She is also survived by one uncle, Kenneth Laws and wife, Crystal of Forest City.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ricky Poteat and Reverend Paul Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Alexander Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
