Norma J. Laws, age 53, of Forest City, died on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at her residence.
Born March 17, 1963 in Rutherford County, she is the daughter of Mary Fisher Lovelace who resides in Bostic and the late John Hoppes. She was a CNA and worked for several years in home health and was of the Baptist faith. Norma loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Bobby Lovelace and one grandson, Jacob Logan.
Besides her mother, survivors include her husband, Timothy Allen Gossett of Forest City; daughter, Jessica Reece and husband, Clayton of Forest City; son, Nick Gossett of the home; three grandchildren, Jonah Reece, Josiah Reece and Jeremiah Logan; one brother, Johnny Hoppes and wife, Brenda of Bostic; three sisters, Renee Greene of Bostic, Louise Lewis and husband, Sparky also of Bostic and Betty Dill of Sandy Mush. She is also survived by two step-brothers, Craig Hoppes of Ellenboro and Michael Hoppes of Forest City; two step-sisters, Dana Hoppes and Nicky Hoppes both of Forest City.
