Norma McCall Jones

Norma McCall Jones, age 93, of Forest City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at her residence.

Norma was born Wednesday, May 13, 1931 in Transylvania County, North Carolina, to the late James and Emma Redden McCall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jones; son, Mike Jones; grandson, Tony Swink; a great-granddaughter, Amber Swink; as well as four sisters and three brothers. 

Norma was a member of Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. After the passing of her husband, she attended Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with her daughters and grandchildren. Norma worked many years in textiles. She loved working in the kitchen at Shingle Hollow during youth camp and camp meetings. 

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Cathy Jones Swink (Paul), and Denise Jones McCraw, both of Forest City; twelve grandchildren, Amanda Barrier (Michael), Alisa Phillips (Chondre), Tyler Swink (Alexis), Roger Swink, Renee Pettit (Freddie), Randy Swink, Josh McCraw, Jordan Oxendale, Brent Jones, Shane Jones, Heather Griggs, and Ami Williams; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

The Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 9th, at the Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Reverend Chad Sisk, and Reverend Buddy Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service time at the church.
