Ostine Ledford Medina

Ostine Ledford Medina, age 61, of Ellenboro, passed away, Monday, August 22, 2022 at her residence.

Ostine was born Friday, November 4, 1960 in Cleveland County to the late Oscar Ledford and Peggy McDaniel Ledford. She worked for seventeen years for the Hamrick Plant in Gaffney, SC and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Gaffney. Ostine was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Billie Ann Ledford and a grandson, Julian Stanley.

Left to cherish fond memories are her husband, Jose Santos Ramos Medina; daughter, Christine Ledford of Hendersonville; son, Zackery Yancey of Ellenboro; brothers, Rodney Ledford (Bonnie) and Daniel Ledford. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Maria Ferreira and Jose Ramos; grandchildren, Kelsey Stanley and Austin Stanley; step-grandchildren, Noah, Kevin and Cohen Ramos and great-grandchildren, Emberly Hipp and Orion Thompson.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Lewis Batchelor officiating. Interment will follow in Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one-hour prior service time at the funeral home.
