Pastor Kenny Frye, age 70, of Speedwell, Tennessee, went home to with the Lord on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Kenneth D. Frye was born Monday, August 4, 1952 in Logan, West Virginia to the late Kenneth James Frye and Orpha Hodge Frye. He worked as a lineman for the railroad for many years, but his passion was ministering the word of God. Kenny served the Lord for over forty years as a pastor and evangelist. He was a dedicated and ordained Free Will Baptist minister who loved serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His life’s verse was John 3:16 and his favorite gospel song was, “Sitting at the Feet of Jesus.” Kenny was also an avid hunter and enjoyed working with his hunting dogs. He was a true man of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Frye and his second wife, Sandy Frye; son, Danny Frye; brothers and sisters, Leslie Frye, Paul Frye, Myrtle Mooney, Garnet Prock and Lavada Barker.
Survivors include two brothers, Jim Frye (Joanne) of Georgia, Walt Frye (Shirley) of West Virginia and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate Pastor Kenny’s life will be held on a later date in Tennessee.
