Patricia Jane Hollifield Allen

Patricia Jane Hollifield Allen, age 88, of Forest City, passed away, Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Fair Haven Home in Bostic.

Patricia was born Wednesday, March 6, 1935 in Rutherford County to the late Jobie and Julie Hollifield. She was a graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1953. Patricia worked in Admissions at Rutherford Hospital and in the Human Resource department at Burlington Industries in Henrietta for several years. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved cooking for her family (especially delicious desserts). Patricia also enjoyed traveling with senior groups. She was a devoted wife, mom, grandma and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Floyd’s Creek Baptist Church and loved her church family. Patricia was also a longtime member of the Red Hat Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, J.P. Allen; brother, Everett Daniel Hollifield and a sister, Sigrid Ann Wampler.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Alicia Jane Allen; son, Joey Allen (Shelli); grandchildren, Cammie Turk, South Turk (Kayleigh), Hannah Whisnant (Alec) and great-grandchildren, Leo Hendekli, Langston Motes and Avery Whisnant.

A graveside service will be conducted for family and close friends at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 2^nd at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Joey Allen and Reverend Robert Carnell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
