Patricia "Pat" Whitt

Patricia “Pat” G. Whitt, age 76, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Pat was born December 20,1943 in Spartanburg County to the late Frank Turner and Virginia Croxdale Turner. She worked at Hoechst-Celanese for many years and in textiles for several years. Pat was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed flower gardening, shopping and listening to gospel music. She was a dedicated Christian lady who loved spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Kathy Ashmore, of Forest City and Teresa Fowler of Spartanburg; son, Randy Whitt of Rutherfordton; three brothers, Tommy Turner, Dennis Turner (Beverly), Steve Turner and sister Rachel Hopper (Tommy) all of Chesnee, SC.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Tracy Thornton, Nikki Stewart, Kurt Reynolds, Taylor Ashmore; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Alexander Cemetery with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.
