Paula Davis

Paula Stanelli Davis, age 74, of Forest City, NC, died Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Willow Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born September 23, 1939 in Haywood County, NC, she was a daughter to the late Joseph Stanelli and Ruth M. Calhoun Stanelli. Paula worked as a secretary at the Northwest Bank for many years and as a legal secretary for George Morrow's Law Firm. She also was a licensed real estate agent and served as a director on the Board of Realtors in Rutherford County and was a bookkeeper for several local businesses for many years. Due to her love for children, she volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem for the Rutherford County Court System. She was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church, an avid reader, excellent cook and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her two daughters, Julie Hodge and husband, Mark and Jennifer Lyn McCrary all of Forest City; two sisters, Becky Plott and husband, Cody of Pebble Beach, California and Billie Joe Cockman and husband, Dewey of Skyland, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Macy Kinsey, Hannah Hodge, Morgan Kinsey, Chelsea Hensley, Benjamin Campbell and Nicholas Campbell; five great-grandchildren, Abrianne Brown, Deshaun Brown, Ashlan Kinsey, Addison Kinsey and Farrah Fortune.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Temple Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Cash officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church auditorium.
